Easy Fox has released update v1.2.9 for the PC (Steam) driving instruction simulation game *Teaching My Little Sister to Drive* and shared an update on the development status.
AI Model Malfunctions Due to a Sudden Surge in Players
This driving instruction simulation game uses a language model AI to recreate a “sister who just got her driver’s license,” and players teach her how to drive properly on public roads.By patiently and thoroughly instructing her on how to drive in every way you can think of, your sister will gradually improve her driving skills based on what she’s learned, even as she makes mistakes along the way. The game was selected as a finalist in the “SENSE OF WONDER NIGHT 2026” contest held at TGS and has been generating buzz on social media and through gameplay videos.
In this announcement, the developers revealed that the number of players trying the demo version has surged and apologized for the resulting errors and response delays in the AI model. They stated that they are working on technical solutions, including improving conversation quality and introducing an auxiliary AI model that runs locally.
Daily token fees of 160,000 yen raise the possibility of an early end to the demo version
The company also disclosed that, due to the number of demo version players swelling to 20 times its original size in just one month, token usage fees are now exceeding $1,000 (approximately 160,000 yen) per day.While expressing gratitude for the unexpectedly enthusiastic response, the company revealed that it is considering ending the demo version early due to the financial burden. It also stated that in the full version, the anticipated token usage fees will be included in the game’s price and will not be billed separately.
"Teaching My Little Sister to Drive," which has seen its character’s emotional expressions enhanced in a recent update, is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) in January 2027. A demo version is available on the store page.
