Takayuki Nakayama, director of *Street Fighter 6* and a producer on the live-action film *Street Fighter: The Movie*, has posted on his X account introducing the cast of *Street Fighter: The Movie*.
The Live-Action "Street Fighter" Cast: An Astonishing Level of Accuracy
*Street Fighter: The Movie* is a theatrical film scheduled for a simultaneous worldwide release on October 16. Set in 1993, it depicts battles where the familiar Street Fighter characters’ motives and moves collide.
Director Nakayama has released photos of the actors who portray the Street Fighter characters in the film. Regarding Guile, he praised the resemblance, saying, “He’s 100% authentic—so much so that I can’t even think of his name on the spot.” As for Zangief, he went even further, stating, “When he appears, I can’t tell if I’m in the real world or if I’ve stepped into the game world.”
The recreations of Dhalsim and Balrog are also incredibly accurate—they really look like they’ve jumped right out of the game.
The actor playing Fireball also has a wonderful smile that seems perfectly suited to the “Saikyo-style.”
