indiegamesjapan and Qmax have released a demo version of the document-review adventure game *Aren’t You Curious About What’s Inside Your Favorite VTuber?*, developed by NEOLAVI. In the game, you review documents and other materials submitted by visitors to the agency in order to protect your favorite VTuber.

Become a Security Guard and Review Visitors’ Documents

This adventure game involves reviewing documents submitted by visitors to a VTuber agency. To protect your favorite VTuber up close, you take on the role of a rookie security guard at the agency and investigate whether visitors pose any risks.

In addition to agency staff, streaming personnel, and VTubers, there are also visitors whose identities are unknown. Players must examine documents such as entry passes submitted by these visitors to ensure they are in order and verify that they do not conflict with the day’s schedule.

The list of inspection items, which reportedly increases day by day, is as follows; players can also interrogate visitors if they seem suspicious.

  • Verification of entry passes against the schedule

  • Verification of anti-counterfeiting holograms

  • X-ray inspection of personal belongings

  • Emergency response to suspicious individuals attempting to force their way in

  • Identity verification via voice recognition

“The Discrepancy Between Idol and Reality”

In this game, players don’t just carry out security duties; as they continue playing, they’ll witness the “discrepancy between idol and reality.” It’s described as “the sweet smile shown during livestreams versus the cold stare at the entrance,” suggesting that your favorite idol isn’t exactly a person without a hidden side.

Furthermore, a sense of unease hangs over the agency, and the story’s ending is said to be determined by the player’s decisions and level of devotion.

“Aren’t You Curious About What Your Favorite Idol Is Really Like?” is currently in development for Windows (Steam). A free demo version is available on the store page.
