SUNSOFT’s official X account reported that “SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection 2,” scheduled for release on December 17, received a “CERO B” rating from CERO.The account appears perplexed by the rating—which designates the game for ages 12 and up based on “sexual content”—exclaiming, “Whyyyyyyyyyy?!?”
Four Titles, Including the Original “Crap Game,” in One Collection
This collection is a retro game set that includes *Ikki*, also known as the original “crap game.” The other three titles are *The Mystery of Atlantis*, *Super Arabian*, and *Maharaja*.
Additional features such as a save function, rewind function, and gallery mode have also been implemented.
“Sexual” Content Leads to “CERO B” Rating
Sunsoft’s official X account reported today, October 6, that the game received a “CERO B” rating, suitable for ages 12 and up. They attached an image that seemed to emphasize the “sexual” category as the basis for the rating, expressing their disbelief with the exclamation, “Whyyyyyyyy?!?”
Meanwhile, on the Nintendo Store, it has been confirmed that*SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection*, the first installment in their retro game series, was rated “CERO A.” Additionally, on the official CERO website, it can be confirmed that *Ikki* and *The Mystery of Atlantis*, previously released as “Virtual Console” titles, were also rated “CERO A.”
In the comments section of the report post, many users suggest that the “maids” appearing in *Ikki* might be the cause, while others point to the cover art for *Super Arabian*.
*SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection 2* is scheduled for release on December 17 forPS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows (Steam).
