The international YouTube channelElAnalistaDeBitshas released a video comparing the graphical performance across platforms for *Gears of War: E-Day*, the latest installment in the popular TPS series, on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) andXBOX Series X|S.

Even for a heavyweight title, the console versions are impressively optimized

The review covers both the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X in Performance Mode and Quality Mode, while the PC version is examined in full on PC, Steam Machine, and Steam Deck. Additionally, a brief comparison based on GPUs ranging from the RTX 3050 to the RTX 5080, as well as the performance of the Xbox ROG ALLY, was featured toward the end of the video.

In terms of visual quality—such as resolution and textures—the handheld Steam Deck appeared to be a step below the others, and the Steam Machine also gave the impression of having slightly noticeable rough edges. On the other hand, the Xbox Series S, despite being the lower-tier model, seems to maintain graphics quality that exceeds expectations.

Frame rates also highlight the stability of the console versions

Regarding frame rates, the Xbox Series S is capped at 30 fps in Quality Mode and 60 fps in Performance Mode, and it was confirmed to run generally stably. The Steam Deck recorded average frame rates of around 25–30 fps, while the Steam Machine recorded around 45–50 fps.

In a comparison of GPUs on the PC version, only the RTX 3050 ran at around 45 fps; for the others, the graphics settings appear to be configured to run at around 70 fps. As an exception, the RTX 5070 Ti was shown to run at around 50 fps at 4K resolution. As for the ROG ALLY, the graphics quality appears to be on par with what you’d expect from a handheld device, running at around 25–30 fps.

“Gears of War: E-Day” is scheduled for release on October 7, 2026, for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) andXBOX Series X|S. It will also be available via the “Game Pass” subscription service. Game*Spark has published a performance review article for the PC version.
