On October 6, 2026, Battlestate Games began rolling out Update 1.2.0.0 for *Escape from Tarkov*, which it develops.
PvE Mode Overhaul and Mentorship Program Added
This update primarily features a revamp of the PvE mode and the addition of the “EXFIL Brothers” mentorship program.
PvE Mode Overhaul
Significant changes have been made to PvE, including improvements to AI behavior and a new progression system.
Prestige: Players can now reach six prestige levels
in PvE, each offering unique rewards, including TarCoin. All rewards earned through
prestige will carry over to your PvE character even after a wipe.PMC Bots: The behavior
of PMC bots has been overhauled, and they will now be positioned more logically across the map.
As a result, they will tend to congregate more in quest areas.
Firefights between bots will occur less frequently than before, and instead, they will focus more on attacking Scavs.
Additionally, the bots’ equipment and weapons will now vary based on their level and faction.
Also, new PMC bot spawn points will be added to the Labyrinth map.Other: In
PvE, you’ll be able to purchase bundles of the in-game currency, the ruble.
“EXFIL Brothers”
The EXFIL Brothers program connects experienced players with newcomers, allowing them to earn unique rewards by playing the game together.
How it works: Experienced players (Operators) who have reached Level
30 can invite up to five beginners (Recruits) who have created their accounts within the last 7 days.
While an Operator and a Recruit are on a raid together, both receive a 5% XP bonus.Rewards: As
Recruits level up, they’ll earn in-game currency (Rubles), Bitcoin, and various other cases. Operators,
meanwhile, will receive valuable rewards—including TarCoin, posters, Operator tops, and the “Basic Training” hideout customization—based on the game edition purchased by the Recruit.Progression: Rewards
are based on the recruit’s progress (character creation, reaching Levels 10, 20, and 30).
Rewards are granted only within the game modes where the requirements were met. For accounts that have already made some progress, the corresponding rewards will be granted immediately.
*Escape from Tarkov* is available for PC (Steam/ Official Website).
