On October 6, indie game developer Mr. Panda unveiled the Steam store page for “Kimatari Online,” an online multiplayer horror game he is co-developing with Tsumiki Usumi.
The “S”-themed traitor role also looks interesting
Set in a junior high school at night—where classroom layouts and items change via random generation—this multiplayer horror game features 4 to 8 players hosting a “courage test” livestream.
The players’ goal is to explore the pitch-black school building, capture supernatural phenomena on camera, and build excitement for their livestream. The more terrifying experiences they encounter—such as screaming or running away—the higher the number of concurrent viewers on the stream rises; at the end of the round, their subscriber count increases based on that number and their channel’s subscription rate.

On the other hand, some players take on the role of “Traitors,” who act as pranksters. By setting traps across the map—such as painting blood handprints on windows—they disrupt the livestream, allowing players to experience the fun of creating a haunted house while figuring out how to scare their fellow players.

Regular players may faint while exploring, and if they aren’t revived by their teammates within one minute, they are considered dead. Since the voice chat is designed for close-range communication—with voices muffled when speaking through walls and barely audible on other floors—players will want to avoid fainting while separated from their group.

“Ghost House Online,” which has garnered approximately 1.8 million impressions even before its store page went live, is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) in late October 2026. The price is undecided as of this writing.
