Hideo Kojima, director at Kojima Productions, commented on the new horror game “OD,” currently in development, during Episode 36 of “Kojima 10: Hideo Kojima’s ‘Let’s Make It the Best 10:00,’” which was released on October 5.
Director Kojima Wants to Release His New Horror Game “OD” “In Silence, Leaving It a Mystery”
“Koj10” was a radio program broadcast on TBS Radio. Episode 36 was released on YouTube and other platforms as a one-night-only revival episode—the first in a year since the end of Season 2.
During the show, Director Kojima also spoke about his new horror game *OD*, currently in development. Although *OD* was announced in 2023, it remains shrouded in mystery, with only some cast members, screenshots, and teaser footage having been revealed so far.
During the program, Director Kojima stated regarding *OD*, “I want to release it while keeping it a mystery and staying tight-lipped.”“We’ve released teasers every time before, but I’d rather not do that this time,” suggesting plans to keep information under wraps until release. He also remarked, “It’s not that it isn’t ready,” and described it as “a game that pushes players to the limit of their fear.”
Regarding the specific development status, he reiterated that filming—which had been postponed due to the strike by the American actors’ union SAG-AFTRA—began in June. He noted that, including ADR (one of the post-production processes in video production), the process is expected to take from the end of this year through next year.
In addition, he shared an anecdote from when he attended the funeral of actor Udo Kier, who had been announced as one of the main cast members of *OD* but passed away on November 23, 2025.
