ProjectMoon has launched a sale on "Lobotomy Corporation | Monster Management Simulation" and "Library Of Ruina" during the Steam Autumn Sale.

Both titles are 66% off, with *Lobotomy Corporation* priced at 873 yen and *Library Of Ruina* at 1,050 yen. Together, they cost 1,923 yen.

*Lobotomy Corporation*: Manage Unpredictable “Abnormalities”

*Lobotomy Corporation* is a roguelike simulation game where you manage a company that houses monsters, viewed from a side-on perspective resembling an ant colony.Players take on the role of the warden at “Lobotomy Corporation,” with the goal of containing and managing SCP-style anomalous entities known as “Abnormalities” (which include non-biological, tool-like entities as well) and extracting energy from them.

You choose from four types of interactions with the Anomalies: “Instinct,” “Insight,” “Affection,” and “Suppression.” However, since information on each Anomaly is unknown at first, you must figure out their characteristics by trial and error. If you make a mistake, the Anomalies will escape from their containment chambers, staff members will be brainwashed or mentally corrupted, and this will spread throughout the facility, causing a chain reaction that worsens the situation and leads to mass panic.

The game’s play cycle involves meeting daily quotas as you work toward Day 50. Between management segments, novel-style scenes are interspersed, allowing you to interact with colorful characters like Angela and Sefira.

When you get a Game Over, you can choose to restart from Day 1 or retry that specific day. Your knowledge of the Abnormalities will be your greatest asset in your next attempt.

Furthermore, the game’s portrayal of a “sweatshop” where employees are exploited to meet quotas was described as “a real sweatshop” in a past feature article on Game*Spark.

That article described the game as “a pessimistic sci-fi set in a future world where science has advanced while ethics have been left behind, yet at its core lies a simple human drama depicting the despair and resilience of a small community—all beautifully tied together with cool, Bible-inspired phrases,” and it was reviewed while referencing the subtitle“FACE THE FEAR, BUILD THE FUTURE.”

According to user-submitted data on the completion time tracking site “HowLongToBeat,” the main story alone can be completed in about 58 hours, but the average playtime across all playstyles is approximately 108 hours. Based on my own experience, I feel it takes over 100 hours to fully enjoy the story.

To be blunt, this game is quite challenging. Since there’s a chance you might give up partway through, I personally recommend checking walkthroughs or using difficulty-reducing mods before that happens. However, since some mods border on cheating, whether you’re using them or consulting walkthroughs, it’s best to do so at your own risk and only to the extent that it doesn’t spoil the fun.

You might have to endure about 100 hours of hardship, but a moving story awaits you at the end.

“Library of Ruina”: An Incredibly Fun Turn-Based Card Battle Where You Face “Guests” with Dice and Cards

“Library Of Ruina” shifts genres, unfolding a visual novel-style story and turn-based card battles set in a library.

The story picks up where *Lobotomy Corporation* left off, centering on Angela, Sefira, and “Fixer” Laurent, who suddenly appears in the library.Angela, the library’s director, seeks “the one and only perfect book.” To find it, Roland and the others invite “Guests” into the library and engage in battle.

Battles proceed between your party—the “Librarians”—and the enemy “Guests” using dice and cards. After checking the cards your opponent uses, you select a card from your hand, and the outcome of the “Match” is determined by the roll of the dice.

However, the dice rolls aren’t purely a matter of luck—various effects can drastically alter the outcome. As the battle intensifies, the “emotions” of the Librarians and Guests escalate, sometimes triggering powerful effects and other times causing negative consequences.

Once a battle ends, the defeated Guest is transformed into a “Book,” which players can use as a card or as a Librarian, and which also serves as a clue to summon the next Guest. The game cycle involves collecting Books to expand the library while delving into the incidents and secrets of a massive “City.”

Although this is a card battle game, it is not a roguelike. The types of cards you can obtain are determined by your progress through the story, allowing you to enjoy battles with an exquisitely balanced difficulty designed by the developers.

The boss battle segments feature many unique mechanics specific to those encounters, and it’s common to be defeated on your first attempt. Sometimes you’ll find yourself battling a boss for over an hour, but you’ll feel a great sense of accomplishment when you finally clear it.

Like *Lobotomy Corporation*, this game is massive; according to user-submitted data on the playtime tracking site “HowLongToBeat,” the main story alone takes about 113 hours to complete. Be sure to experience the heart-wrenching story that’s well worth the time.

Note that while the Steam version supports Japanese text, the voice acting is in Korean only. If you’d like to play with Japanese voice acting, you can opt for the PS4/Nintendo Switch version released by Arc System Works in 2024.

The PS4/Nintendo Switch version is a Complete Edition that includes full Japanese voice acting by a stellar cast, including Ikumi Hasegawa as Angela and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Laurent. It also includes the soundtrack and art book, which were sold separately as DLC for the PC version.

These three titles are connected by the same “city”—a chance even for those who started with *Limbus Company*

The three titles—*Lobotomy Corporation*, *Library of Ruina*, and *Limbus Company* (currently available as a free-to-play game)—are all set in the same “city.”

The second title, *Library of Ruina*, continues the story from the ending of the first game, *Lobotomy Corporation*, while the third entry in the series, *Limbus Company*, follows the clock-headed“Caretaker” Dante leads 12 “Prisoners” in an attempt to recover the “Golden Branch” from the ruined Lobotomy Corporation facility.

As for *Limbus Company*, Chapter 10 of the main story will be rolled out in stages over three weeks starting September 17, 2026, introducing a new top-down exploration segment. As reported by Game*Spark, on October 1—when Chapter 10 (Part 2) was released—the Steam version reached a peak of 151,455 concurrent players, showing signs of closing in on the all-time high of 157,444 recorded in July(After this article was published, the peak concurrent player count rose to 155,699).

In July, an event incorporating elements from the previous title, “Library Of Ruina,” set a new record for peak concurrent users, demonstrating that the connection to past titles is one of “Limbus Company’s” major appeals. What happened at Robotomy Corporation, and what unfolded in the library afterward?

This sale offers an excellent opportunity to pick up the two original titles—not only for those looking to step into the world of ProjectMoon for the first time, but also for those who have already experienced the “Promun” universe through *Limbus Company*.

*Lobotomy Corporation | Monster Management Simulation* is currently available for PC (Steam). It is priced at 2,570 yen, but until 2:00 AM on October 9—when the Steam Autumn Sale ends—it can be purchased for 873 yen, a 66% discount.

*Library Of Ruina* is also available for PC (Steam/Microsoft Store) andXBOX One. The price on Steam is 3,090 yen, and it can also be purchased for 1,050 yen—a 66% discount—until 2:00 AM on October 9.ThePS4/Nintendo Switch version, featuring full Japanese voice acting, is also available for 4,950 yen.
