Serafini Productions announced three new horror titles—『BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN』, 『The Boba Teashop - Refill』, and 『Signal Veil』—at the horror game showcase “28 Games Later Horror Showcase.”
*BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN*: An AI designed to support a student’s studies becomes consumed by jealousy and obsession
*BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN* is a first-person psychological horror game set in a Japanese high school.
The protagonist is Kazuaki, a high school student aiming to pass the entrance exam for a prestigious university. One day, he finds a mysterious USB drive. Out of curiosity, he checks its contents and discovers an innovative study support program that seems useful for his exam preparation. When he launches it, he is greeted by “MIKI-CHAN,” a friendly virtual AI anime assistant who devotedly supports his studies.

However, jealousy, possessiveness, and obsession gradually seep into the simulation, dragging Kazuaki into an unstable, nightmarish school environment. As the world around him crumbles, the game follows his journey as he explores, hides, and faces numerous psychological trials. At his disposal is “Rewriter,” a mysterious tool capable of rewriting reality itself.
MIKI-CHAN is a character who first appeared in *BrokenLore: DON’T LIE*, released on September 10, 2026. While she was portrayed in that title as an AI companion who offered advice and emotional support to the user, in this game she takes center stage, and her darker side is revealed. The story appears to delve deeper into themes such as trust, emotional dependence, and the increasingly complex relationship between humans and AI.

Development is handled by Serafini Productions, with publishing handled jointly by Serafini Productions and Soft Source.
*BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN* is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC (Steam/Epic Games Store),PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Working at a new branch of “that shop”… *The Boba Teashop - Refill*
*The Boba Teashop - Refill* is a first-person psychological horror game set in a bubble tea shop.
This title was co-developed with Mike Ten, the creator of *The Boba Teashop*.The protagonist is Maya, a young woman struggling with financial pressures, who begins working at a newly opened bubble tea shop. This shop is a new branch opened as part of the business expansion of the shop that Lisa ran in the original *The Boba Teashop*.

Players take orders from customers, prepare drinks one by one by adding tea, milk, and tapioca according to the recipes, seal the lids, and serve them over the counter.
The story unfolds over several workdays, with new situations and pressures arising with each shift. Demanding customers, bad reviews, awkward conversations, and strange noises gradually throw her familiar daily routine into disarray.Another highlight is the contrast between the cozy interior—with its warm lighting, colorful drinks, and glossy counter—and the atmosphere that gradually grows more oppressive.

Among the customers who visit are characters modeled after real-life content creators such as Yotobi, Knite, Kodomo, and Suzi Hunter (The Sphere Hunter). Additionally, Hideki—a familiar face from the *BrokenLore* series—and the series’ creator himself make appearances.

*The Boba Teashop - Refill* is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC (Steam/ Epic Games Store),PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
*Signal Veil*, a fixed-camera horror game where you expose spirits with your cell phone and purify them through rituals
*Signal Veil* is a narrative action-adventure game that blends elements of survival horror and psychological horror.
The protagonist, Aki, begins to experience supernatural phenomena visible only to her after inheriting her mother’s old cell phone. What appears to be an ordinary school hides an unsettling past buried beneath false memories and silence.Tormented by grotesque spirits, a fractured timeline, and inexplicable messages, Aki is forced to choose between sealing away the truth or accepting her role as the “veil” that separates one world from another.

This game employs a classic fixed-camera style inspired by *Resident Evil* and *Silent Hill*. The predetermined angles restrict the player’s field of view, heightening the sense of tension. To detect spirits, you use the “Spiritual Phone,” which allows you to sense supernatural entities through vibrations, noise, and image distortion. You can startle them with a flash or use the camera to reveal hidden objects and traces.
To completely eliminate enemies, you must perform a “Spiritual Purge,” a ritual-like process involving detection, provocation, stunning, revealing their true nature, and purification. Ammunition is scarce, and weapons are mostly improvised. Since each entity has unique behavior patterns, combat requires observation, strategy, and effective use of the environment.

*Signal Veil* is scheduled for release on PC (Steam/ Epic Games Store),PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The release date has not yet been determined.
