On October 1, 2026, Ubisoft announced that it would rename Creative House 2, one of its game development studios, to “Massive Entertainment.”
The studio, known for developing the *Division* series and other titles, will carry on the name as a brand.

Since early April 2026, Ubisoft has operated under a development structure comprising five Creative Houses.
Among them, Creative House 2 traces its origins to Massive Entertainment, which previously developed RTS titles such as *Ground Control* and, after joining Ubisoft, worked on *The Division*.Initially, Creative House 2 was slated to handle IPs such as “Ghost Recon” and “Splinter Cell,” specializing in competitive and cooperative shooter experiences.

With this announcement, both of Ubisoft’s Creative Houses 2 will be rebranded as “Massive Entertainment.” In addition to titles such as *The Division* and *Splinter Cell*, new original IPs—including the former Amazon MOBA *March of Giants*—will be released under the Massive Entertainment brand.
Christoph Hartmann, General Manager of Massive Entertainment, commented, “Massive Entertainment has always been defined by passion, ambition, and exceptional talent. And now, our focus is on the future.” He added, “By uniting our teams under a single identity, we will bring together the creative energy and expertise spread across Montreal,Paris, Sweden, and Toronto, and will provide us with the opportunity to shape the next generation of these iconic franchises, create new games and IP, and further advance our technology and expertise.”
Massive Entertainment will remain under the Ubisoft umbrella. Ubisoft will handle the publishing and distribution of all games developed under the Massive Entertainment brand, and there will be no changes to existing commitments (such as policies and contractual relationships) to players and partner companies.
