Actress and voice actress Erika Ishii, who played the protagonist Atsushi in the popular action adventure game *Ghost of Yōtei*, developed by Soccer Punch Productions, appeared on a YouTube channel run by fellow actor and voice actor Tetsu Uchimon.A video showing her learning sword-fighting techniques has been released and is attracting a lot of attention.
This is the real “Atsushi”
Erika Ishii is known not only for her role as Atsushi, the protagonist of *Yōtei*, but also for voicing “Valkyrie” in the English version of *Apex Legends*. Game*Spark has also conducted an interview with her in the past.
This video captures Atsushi receiving instruction from Mr. Uchimon on the moves and stances he uses in the game.
Toward the end of the video, there’s also a thrilling duel scene between the two that looks just like a real-life “Ghost of Yōtei” battle.
Since Erika emerged victorious, ownership of Uchimon’s channel will be transferred to her. This video, which features entertaining banter between the two, comes complete with Japanese subtitles, so why not give it a watch?
Incidentally, in 2021, Uchimon’s channel also released a video of actor Daisuke Tsuji—who played Jin Sakai in the previous game, *Ghost of Tsushima*—being taught how to wield a katana, which also became a hot topic. This latest video featuring Erica Ishii appears to be a sequel of sorts to that one.
*Ghost of Yōtei* is now available forPS5. *Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition*, which includes a new story expansion and more, is scheduled for release on October 1.
