Ghost Ship Publishing and Bitfire Games have released the latest trailer for "DarkSwarm," a top-down tactical shooter for up to four players.
Take on dangerous missions as a mercenary
In this game, you’ll take on the role of a mercenary created using the bioprinting technology of “Valstorm,” a private military company striving to meet client demands and recoup its investment. You’ll venture into a world ravaged by “DarkSwarm” to recover classified data, secure valuable resources, and carry out dangerous missions.
Enemies Swarming the Screen
This trailer showcases “Swarm Technology,” one of the most crucial technologies in the game’s development.Hordes of creatures—enough to fill the screen—appear, surging through corridors, surrounding squads, and flooding into open areas. In such situations, players must constantly adjust their positioning, coordinate with teammates, and fight while avoiding friendly fire.
Combining procedurally generated missions, four distinct classes, and friendly fire mechanics to deliver a “chaotic yet tactical co-op experience,” *DarkSwarm* is scheduled to launch on Steam Early Access in early 2027. The fourth closed alpha test is set to begin on November 3 (local time).
