"Death Game Simulator," a party game where you play as the "organizer" of a death game, is set for release on Steam in September—watch a life-or-death survival game unfold from the sidelines

On September 7, independent developer Tamago Eggs announced that the party game *Death Game Simulator* will be released for PC (Steam) in September 2026.

The game of “eat or be eaten” begins

This party game supports both single-player and online PvP modes, allowing players to take on the role of the “host” in the kind of unreasonable and cruel death games often depicted in movies, TV shows, and anime.

When it comes to death games, a mysterious Game Master often appears—and in this title, you’ll play that role by wearing a mask you’ve designed yourself in your workshop and using a voice changer to alter your voice, creating an eerie persona.

The Game Master decides the format of the event. Mini-games include crossing narrow platforms where a single fall means elimination, as well as true-or-false quizzes. Since it would be boring if players cleared the challenges too easily, you’ll occasionally trigger traps while watching the participants struggle from the stage.

Of course, the participants aren’t just going to sit back and take it. The game includes “Chaos Cards” that could turn the tide of the battle; these trigger various effects, ranging from granting invincibility to causing participants to sabotage one another. In some cases, it’s even possible to defeat the Game Master.

“Death Game Simulator” is scheduled for release in September 2026 for PC (Steam). The price is undecided at the time of writing.
