Blizzard Entertainment has released a gameplay trailer for "Doctrine," a new support hero in the team-based action game *Overwatch*.
A Dark New Support Hero Who Manipulates Others’ Vitality
Doctrine, an ally of Doomfist and a pivotal figure in the final chapter of the “Ruler of the Empire” saga, is a dark new support hero who manipulates the life force of others.In addition to the “Eternal Staff”—a weapon that heals allies and deals damage to enemies—she possesses two abilities: “Crimson Veil,” which is useful for dodging attacks, and “Vital Drone,” which grants allies attack speed bonuses and healing.
In addition to these, she possesses an ability called “Empowerment,” which, when combined with “Crimson Veil” or “Eternal Staff,” allows her to unleash abilities such as flight and piercing attacks. Furthermore, her Ultimate, “Deliverance,” grants allies additional health while reducing enemies’ maximum health.
Doctrine is scheduled to join the game starting October 7 with Season 5: “Doctrine of the Undead.” Game*Spark has published a developer interview from “BlizzCon 2026,” so be sure to check that out as well.
