On September 29, Microsoft announced that it had released a new feature called “Mythic Achievements” (the official Japanese translation is unknown) to Xbox Insiders to celebrate completing a game’s achievements.
The path to completion is also easy to follow
Mythic Achievements are earned by unlocking all achievements in the main game; there is no need to unlock achievements added later via DLC or updates, and once earned, the Mythic status is permanently retained.
In addition, the following changes regarding support for past titles and profile/achievement progress are as follows.
Support for Past Titles: These achievements will also be granted for eligible titles where the conditions were met in the past, including Xbox 360 titles.
Profile: A new “Games” tab has been added, allowing you to view achievements and track your progress toward the next Gamerscore milestone badges. You can also view your friends’ records.
Achievement List: A progress bar indicating completion toward earning a Mythic achievement has been added to the top of each game’s achievement list. You can also filter the display to show only the ununlocked achievements required to earn it.
Ashish Sharma, CEO of Xbox, also used footage from *Gears of War: E-Day* on his X account to showcase the visual effects that appear when a Mythic Achievement is earned.
In August, in response to social media users requesting a feature equivalent to the PlayStation Platinum Trophy, she stated that the company was working toward implementing it by the end of the year. According to Xbox Wire, these Mythic Achievements are also cited as one of the features most frequently requested by players.
Mythic Achievements are currently in early access for Xbox Insiders. The announcement did not specify a release date for general users.
