Developer SpaceRocket Games and publisher Toplitz Productions have announced that the playtest for the frigid-world survival game *Permafrost* will begin on October 2 at 9:00 p.m.
A survival game where you fight to stay alive alongside your dog in a city trapped in ice
This open-world survival-crafting game challenges players to survive in a city trapped in an endless winter. It supports solo play as well as online co-op with up to three friends.

While taking precautions against frostbite and other hazards, players repair abandoned shelters and broken machinery to expand their survival zone. They explore the world with the help of a dog rescued from the ruins, who carries their gear and scouts the area.

Ahead of the Early Access launch on October 9, a playtest is scheduled to take place from 9:00 PM JST on October 2 through 9:00 PM JST on October 6. Players will be limited to one hour of gameplay after launching the game. Additionally, the developers plan to allow only a small number of participants immediately after the playtest begins to verify that there are no issues before opening it up to a larger audience.
