No Brakes Games has released "Tiny Flock," a physics-based puzzle game designed exclusively for VR, for PC VR (Steam) and Meta Quest.
A "Shepherd" VR Puzzle from the Developers of *Human Fall Flat*
This title is the latest release from No Brakes Games, the studio behind *Human Fall Flat*.You play as a shepherd whose goal is to guide a flock of free-spirited little sheep to a safe pasture. The levels are crafted as handcrafted-style 3D dioramas, creating a fully interactive world where you can touch and move everything in sight.
Build paths and bridges, stack objects, throw things, pull ropes and levers, and sometimes even break through obstacles to force your way through… There’s no single “right” way to get the sheep through, so you’re free to either meticulously construct structures or blow things up spectacularly to clear a path.Use the laws of physics, your creativity, and the surrounding environment to guide the sheep.
There are 21 different stages. Developed exclusively for VR, the game supports full hand tracking and passthrough on Meta Quest (the Steam version supports hand tracking via Steam Link).The physics engine was developed in-house from scratch, and the game prides itself on its satisfying, responsive controls. In addition to its deep replay value, the game features a cello-driven soundtrack that complements the game’s laid-back puzzle atmosphere.
Studio CEO Tomas Sakalauskas explained the reason behind their decision to create a VR-exclusive title as follows:
“Tiny Flock” was born from our desire to create a truly high-quality, well-crafted, and ambitious title exclusively for VR, featuring interactions that are impossible on a flat screen.
VR may not be as popular as it once was, but we’re still making this game because we take great pride in what we’ve accomplished and because we wanted to create something that could only exist in VR. While we’ve carried forward the philosophy of *Human Fall Flat* in how we design the world and puzzles, we’re pushing the boundaries toward interactions unique to VR.
