Playstack, the publisher known for *Balatro*, released *Dicevaders*—a deck-building dice roguelike developed by indie studio Pengonauts—on September 30.
Roll the dice and invade the solar system! Your enemies are the heroes from the previous game.
This deck-building roguelike lets you assemble a force of alien-commanded units to invade the solar system. Each turn, you roll three dice and add the attack power of the units in the columns corresponding to the roll results to achieve an attack power that exceeds the target planet’s defense.

Each turn, you can purchase units and artifacts with various effects, so the basic strategy is to use these to boost attack multipliers and overall attack power. It’s also important to make strategic use of “Chrono,” which lets you reroll dice rolls or available items, and “Cheat,” which allows you to adjust dice rolls by +1 or -1.
In the third area of each stage, heroes from the developer’s previous title, *StarVaders*, stand in your way as enemies. They possess special abilities, and restrictions—such as the inability to use “Cheat” or “Reroll”—apply when facing them.
Of course, we can’t let them get the better of us. Let’s make use of the skills of our commanders, each with unique abilities, and aim to invade Earth!

Comment from developer Axolotl (Pengonauts)
I had a strange dream about a dice-based game set in the same universe. I built a prototype in just a few days, and it turned out to be surprisingly fun. The core concept I’ve maintained from the very beginning is that this is a game where you “keep pushing your numbers higher and higher” not just through luck, but through strategy and planning. I feel like I’ve created an incredibly cool game.

*Dicevaders* is now available on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch 2/Switch. The price is 1,800 yen, with a 10% discount available for the first two weeks after launch.
