Ratalaika Games S.L. and Shinyuden plan to release the classic robot SRPG *Vixen 357* for PC (Steam) in 2026.

Destroyed units and allies cannot be recovered

This title is a Steam port of the robot simulation RPG originally released for the Mega Drive by Messia in 1992.

It serves as a sequel of sorts, sharing the same world as *Flying Cavalry Kaizard*, released in 1990. The story begins in AD 2396,the special forces unit “Slash,” which operates the highly mobile humanoid weapon “VECTOR” developed by the newly formed nation of Merizma Harp, is attacked by an unidentified enemy during training. As Takuya Ozawa, the pilot, you’ll throw yourself into the fray.

Combat unfolds in a turn-based system on grid-based maps, with a total of 16 maps included. Players can freely combine pilots and mechs—and even change weaponry depending on the mech—while issuing movement and attack commands to their units to fulfill each map’s victory conditions.

Another key feature is “permadeath” (loss), where defeated pilots and destroyed mechs are permanently lost. Your formation choices—which mech to assign to which pilot and how to maneuver them—will directly impact the outcome of subsequent battles.

The upcoming Steam version will include a gallery where players can view illustrations and posters from the original release. It will also feature various other functions, such as rewind and double speed, save anywhere, screen filters, and cheats.

TheSteamversion of *Vixen 357* is scheduled for release in 2026. According to the store page, Japanese language support is also planned.
