China-based Etherous Games has unveiled the Steam store page for its turn-based simulation RPG, *Galaxy Boundary (GALAXY FANTASY)*.
The tale of the galaxy, once lost, returns
This turn-based simulation RPG is set in the galaxy, where you lead a team of beautiful young women into battle. As the commander of the “Ulysses,” you’ll engage in combat against enemies known as “Isomeric Insects” while unraveling the mysteries surrounding the ancient civilization known as the “Landscape Labyrinth.”

The 72-member squad features a variety of classes, weapons, and skills, allowing players to organize their units according to each member’s role. During combat, players must navigate the map’s terrain and keep track of the turn order, while also utilizing battlefield mechanisms such as turrets and landmines.

In addition to the main story, the game features side stories and individual episodes that highlight the squad members’ unique personalities. According to the Steam store page, Japanese language support is planned, and the voice cast includes Yumiri Hanamori, Aoi Yuki, Inori Minase, and Mamiko Noto.

Originally released in China as a mobile game, the title began an open beta test in July 2023 but ceased online service in May 2024.
Reflecting on these events in an interview with the Chinese gaming media outlet Youxi Chaguan, developer Miyako explained that declining sales due to the successive release of competing titles, coupled with the cancellation of planned overseas distribution, made it impossible to secure the funding needed to continue development.
Although the project had initially come to an end, according to a video posted on Bilibili on September 28, Miyako stated that while the development team had intended to preserve the game in a different form after disbanding, this wasn’t immediately possible because the game’s mechanics needed to be rebuilt from scratch and the necessary infrastructure to continue development wasn’t in place.
Since then, to preserve the characters, story, and world-building, the team held repeated discussions with those involved and has now launched a Steam store page for a standalone version. The video’s description also reports that a crowdfunding campaign will begin on September 30.
Additionally, Inside has published a more detailed overview of the mobile version of the game, as well as a play report from the open beta test, so be sure to check those out as well.
"Galaxy Boundary" is scheduled for release on PC (Steam). According to the Steam store page, Japanese language support is also planned.
