Two New *The Last of Us* Projects Are in the Works
On the official blog, Neil Druckmann commented while answering questions submitted by fans.
● Will more story content be added to *The Last of Us* in the future?
Since “Grounded II,” we’ve been discussing the possibility of weaving more stories within the world of *The Last of Us*. Currently, two very exciting new projects are in development.Since they are still in the early stages, we cannot share any details at this time. However, I can tell you that both projects will expand the world of *The Last of Us* beyond *Part I* and *Part II*.
The world of *The Last of Us* is incredibly important to us, and we won’t return to it unless we have a meaningful message to convey. We believe these stories are worth telling.
*Intergalactic*:
Naughty Dog’s Most Ambitious Project Yet
They also touched on Naughty Dog’s new action-adventure game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.
● “Intergalactic” was first unveiled two years ago. When can we expect the next update?
The team is currently pouring all its energy into developing this title, which is shaping up to be Naughty Dog’s most ambitious project to date. With all the pieces falling into place, there’s a real sense of excitement in the studio, and we’re very much looking forward to finally revealing the full scope of *Intergalactic*.
There won’t be any major announcements in 2026. However… in 2027, we plan to release *Intergalactic* and introduce you to Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure.
Mr. Drackman apologized for the limited information available at this time but left a message echoing the phrase “Endure and Survive!”—which also served as the title of an episode in the TV series *The Last of Us*—encouraging fans to “Endure and Survive!” until the day we can deliver something that lives up to their expectations.
“Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet” is currently in development for thePS5.
