Set in Shinjuku at night, this short horror visual novel follows a part-time job where the goal is to “take photos whenever you spot a supernatural phenomenon.”

Players explore a city overrun by strange supernatural phenomena and capture them on camera. Should you get closer to the phenomenon, or take the shot? The game features multiple endings where your choices determine the story’s outcome.

This title was previously mistaken for a sequel to *Hakudo*, a game by the indie development team Hora-kai, and as a result, some design elements—such as the choice UI—have been modified (the original UI can be viewed in a previous article).

It was also announced that “Hyakki Yagyo” by the loud girl group “Yamikumo” has been selected as the game’s theme song. A commemorative collaboration music video has also been released.

"Shinjuku Incident" is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) on September 30 at 10:00 AM. The price is 500 yen.
