Valve is scheduled to launch the Steam Autumn Sale on October 2 at 2:00 a.m. Japan Standard Time. The sale is expected to run from October 2 at 2:00 a.m. to October 9 at 2:00 a.m., and the unofficial database siteSteamDBis already counting down to the start.
Four “Seasonal Sales” a Year. Note that Halloween is not a “Seasonal Sale”
The “Steam Fall Sale” is one of the “Seasonal Sales” held four times a year.
It’s customary for most games—excluding the latest releases—to go on sale during these Seasonal Sales. Longtime Steam users might think, “But there’s a sale around Halloween, too,” but Steam’s recent Halloween sales are not part of the Seasonal Sales; they mainly feature discounts on horror and zombie games.
Be sure to note that if you miss the Autumn Sale, there won’t be another seasonal sale until December 18.
During the Autumn Sale, it’s highly likely that new games released by around June 2026 will be discounted. For example, *Mina the Hollower*, released in late May, and *The Thousand-Year Tale of Adventurer Elliot*, released in June, have already been on sale, so they’re likely to be discounted during the Autumn Sale as well.
The smash-hit physics-based FPS fishing sim “How to Fish” has hinted that it may unveil several new features in time for the Fall Sale, so players can look forward to both updates and discounts.
Additionally, titles that are already on sale and have a sale period ending on October 2 are highly likely to remain on sale during the Autumn Sale as well. For example, while the store page for *Persona 3 Reload* states that the sale runs through October 2, the official Atlas website explicitly states that it runs through October 8, meaning the sale period will simply roll over into the Autumn Sale.
However, please note that there may be exceptions regarding the extension of sale periods if this has not been explicitly stated.
Below are the store pages for titles that are already on sale or that I believe are likely to go on sale during the Autumn Sale. Consider adding them to your wishlist now and start planning your purchases.
