"Slay the Spire 2" Is Currently Undergoing Internal Testing for "Quite Extensive" New Content—Silhouettes of Monsters Lurking in Unknown Areas Have Also Been Revealed

Mega Crit has released the September 2026 issue of "Neo Letter," a newsletter featuring information on the deck-building roguelike *Slay the Spire 2*.

Silhouettes of New Monsters from an Unknown Area Revealed

This deck-building roguelike entered Early Access in March 2026. Last month’s August issue of “Neo Letter” indicated that future development would focus on major content such as additional maps for Act 2 and new characters, and it was reported that the pace of beta updates would likely slow down for the time being.

According to the September issue released on September 26 (Japan Time), the development team has already resumed work following their vacation and is working on creating unannounced new features, game modes, and content, as well as fixing bugs and improving playability.Regarding the next patch, while the team stated they cannot disclose specific timing or details at this time, they explained that the elements currently in preparation are “quite substantial” and that many of them are already in the testing phase internally.

Also in this issue, the “Spire Observations” column—which was featured in the NeoLetter prior to the Early Access launch—has returned after a long hiatus. It reports that a new, still-mysterious area has been discovered within the tower, and the silhouette of a new monster inhabiting that area has been revealed.

*Slay the Spire 2* is currently available in Early Access for Windows, Mac, and Linux (Steam).
