The 3D dungeon RPG *Wizardry Variants Daphne*, part of the *Wizardry* series, was on display at the recent “Tokyo Game Show 2026.”
Since its launch on October 15, 2024, cumulative downloads worldwide—including the Steam version—have surpassed 4 million. The game, which will celebrate its second anniversary in October 2026, is built around the concept of “Taste the Risk.”
The TGS 2026 booth was expanded to approximately twice the size of last year’s. At the venue, two types of content were featured: an “immersive experience” designed to deepen visitors’ immersion in the game’s world, and a “photo spot” where attendees could take commemorative photos.
The interactive exhibit featured an immersive space composed of three LED displays, each approximately 2.5 meters tall. Visitors took on the role of adventurers tackling the dungeon “Abyss of Beginnings” from the game, making their way through the labyrinth.Along the way, they were faced with choices, and the subsequent storyline changed based on their decisions—allowing them to experience the tension-filled adventure unique to this title.
At the photo spot, a large-scale display recreating “Haken,” a character from the game, was on display. Cosplayers dressed as familiar adventurers from the game also gathered at the venue, offering not only photo sessions where visitors could take pictures but also opportunities for commemorative photos with the cosplayers.
Furthermore, limited-edition giveaways—such as the “Wizardry Variants Daphne: Masked Adventurer Fan”—were distributed to booth visitors. Special giveaways were also prepared for participants in the “Abyss of Beginnings” adventure experience.
