This Week's Free Games on the Epic Games Store: A Mech SLG and a Card SLG
On the Epic Games Store, which specializes in PC games, the free giveaway of the auto-battle strategy game “Mechabellum”—which supports both single-player and online multiplayer—and the single-player dice strategy game “Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles” began at midnight on September 24 for a limited time of one week.
By claiming the games during this period, you’ll have unlimited access to them going forward. Both titles feature Japanese language support.
Note that this comes immediately after the major Version 2.0 update for *Mechabellum*, which added a roguelike mode and new units; while a free-to-play version has recently launched on Steam, the game being offered in this promotion is the paid version.
An epic auto-battle game where you command a massive army of mechs into battle. Form your army and customize your units in 3D battles rendered with intricate graphics. Master formation tactics to crush your enemies. No need to click repeatedly.Strategy is everything. Outwit your opponents in 1v1, 2v2, Deathmatch, or Survival modes.
“Astrea” is a brand-new dice-and-deck-building roguelike game. Instead of cards, this game uses dice and features a unique dual damage system called “Purification” and “Corruption.” Build a powerful dice deck, purify the corruption in Astrea, and save the stars!
To celebrate its 3rd anniversary, a major update—Version 1.3—was released in early September, expanding the game’s content.
Epic Discount Sale Now On
In addition, a sale has begun and will run until 12:00 a.m. JST on October 9. Significant discounts are available on a variety of titles, led by Electronic Arts games.
Next Week’s Free Games
Next week’s free games have been announced: *System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster* and *BURIED STARS*.
