Parasol Corp has announced that its game cartridge restoration sim, *Cozy Game Restoration*, currently in development, will include Japanese language support at launch.
The company plans to support Japanese at launch. Additional languages are scheduled to be added after release.
This game is a simulator where you clean faded and dirty game cartridges. For each cartridge you receive, you’ll apply the appropriate treatment to address issues such as stickers, doodles, dust, and scratches.

Regarding the game’s language support, the plan is to release it with 9 languages—including Japanese—at launch, and then add the remaining 21 languages post-release with the help of community translations. The developer explained that this approach is to ensure a smooth process, as this is their first full-scale localization project and they want to prevent the project from falling apart due to unforeseen issues arising during the process.

It was also announced that the game’s demo received very positive feedback during the “Steam Next Fest” in June.
"Cozy Game Restoration" was the 24th most-played demo during the Next Fest.
146,000 people downloaded the demo
113,000 people played the demo (approximately 77%)
Played 57,000 times during the Next Fest
Median playtime was 36 minutes (the developer estimates this is roughly equivalent to cleaning two full games)
280,000 wishlist entries (enough to make your head explode, according to the creator)
"Cozy Game Restoration" is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) on September 24, 2026.
