Reports are flooding in on platforms like X that players who created and shared “Itasha” designs in Microsoft’s racing game *Forza Horizon 6* have had their creations removed or their accounts temporarily suspended.
In light of this, the development team has updated its official FAQ to clarify the review process and enforcement standards for user-generated content (UGC), including stickers and vehicle designs.
Reports of Deletions and Bans for “Itasha,” a Long-Standing Series Tradition

The *Forza* series has traditionally included features that allow players to create stickers and vehicle designs and share them with other players. This feature aligns well with Japan’s “Itasha” culture—where vehicles are decorated with characters from anime and video games—and has been widely used by players in previous titles.
Itasha has become widely established as a part of Japanese automotive culture, regardless of the boldness of the designs or the types of illustrations used. In the latest installment, *Forza Horizon 6*, which is finally set in Japan, a variety of itasha have been created and shared.
However, there have recently been a series of reports that creators who were producing and publishing *Itasha* have had their work removed or their accounts temporarily suspended, causing growing concern among players.
Reported content is reviewed by human moderators

Amid this situation, the operations team updated its Code of Conduct, clarifying that reported content—regardless of the number of reports—is sent to a common review queue, where human moderators visually inspect it before making a decision.
While drawing anime or game characters is not considered a violation in itself, the update explains that depictions emphasizing the chest or buttocks, sexual expressions, and excessive exposure of underwear or skin are prohibited. Violations are classified into five categories, including “Extreme Violations,” “Cheating and Modifications,” and “Inappropriate UGC.”
Additionally, the official FAQ lists examples of images and motifs prohibited in UGC, including the swastika, the Confederate flag, SS runes, the Wolf’s Angle, the Black Sun, the Arrow Cross, the Iron Cross (which may be problematic depending on context), and the Rising Sun Flag.

Regarding this change, concerns have been raised on Reddit that the boundaries for sexual content are ambiguous, leading to penalties even for creators of wholesome works, as well as worries about malicious mass reporting and the accuracy of the review process.
On the other hand, some opinions argued that, since these are works intended for all ages, restrictions on excessively sexual content are appropriate.
Game*Spark has reached out to Microsoft for comment regarding the removal of UGC and account suspensions.
"Forza Horizon 6" is now available for PC (Steam/Microsoft Store) andXBOX Series X|S. It is also available via Game Pass on the Microsoft Store, and aPS5version is scheduled for release in the second half of 2026.
