On September 16, 2026, HideWorks announced that “Liminal Point,” a top-down classic survival horror game currently in development, is scheduled for release in 2027.
A Survival Horror Game Inspired by Past Classics, Set for Release in 2027

This game is a top-down survival horror title. Players take control of Rila, a former Rockstar, and tackle the mysteries of a cursed island where her bandmate, Mira, has gone missing.

With exploration and combat using limited resources, as well as puzzles scattered throughout, this game captures the essence of classic survival horror titles in every aspect. It has now been announced that the game’s release date has been rescheduled to 2027.The decision to push the release date to 2027 stems from the fact that the workload has increased significantly beyond initial plans, and the console version is being developed by a team of just two people. The developers explained that they “want to ensure they have the time necessary to create the best game possible overall.”
The game also features costume customization and the ability to move while crouching, and a video showcasing these elements has been released. New features and updates will be announced gradually on the Steam news page.
"Liminal Point" is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC (Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store),PS5, andXbox Series X|S.
