On September 21, 2026, Fancy Force released the Steam version of *Happy Wheels*, which was once a popular Flash game.
The legendary Flash game that looks like it would hurt like hell is back!
*Happy Wheels* is a side-scrolling action game where you control characters riding vehicles with varying capabilities, such as wheelchairs, electric shopping carts, and subway cars.
The courses feature various traps and obstacles; if you make a mistake, your character’s limbs, torso, or neck may get torn off, or their entire body may be crushed—resulting in a game over—making this content geared more toward adults. You can also choose from over 5 million user-created levels to play, and you can even publish your own original courses.

As stated on the Steam store page—“We’ve finally released an ad-free version on Steam”—the game originally debuted in 2010 as a browser game built using Flash. A JavaScript version was later released, and iOS and Android versions are also available.

During the Flash era, popular game streamers posted playthrough videos on platforms like Niconico and YouTube, making the game well-known to many users in Japan.
In a Steam News post released to coincide with this launch, the developers revealed that while they had expected around 5,000 wishlist additions, the actual number reached 750,000—leaving them trembling with fear.
A check of Steam user reviews shows that, as of the time of writing (around 9:30 a.m. on September 22), there were approximately 1,160 reviews, with 94% recommending the game—earning it an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating.
The developer expressed gratitude to the community for the overwhelming response to a game that was released 16 years ago. The Steam version will continue to receive updates, including improvements for controller and Steam Deck gameplay, offline support, the addition of achievements, and bug fixes.
The Steam version of *Happy Wheels* is currently available for 655 yen.
