"Core Keeper" Major Free Update "The Rider of the Underworld" Now Available! Ride livestock, use a hookshot for easy travel, and explore the new "Moss" biome!
On September 21, Fireshine Games released "The Underground Rider," a major free update for *Core Keeper*, developed by Pugstorm.
Packed with mounts, a “Hookshot,” and new sub-biomes
This is a sandbox action game playable by 1 to 8 players. Players engage in combat, mining, building, and crafting while developing their skills and digging their way through a mysterious underground world.
In the major update “Riders of the Underworld” (Version 1.3), a new item—the “Saddle”—makes its debut. By equipping a saddle on a domesticated animal, players can ride on its back to move around.
You can also give commands to mountable animals, such as having them wait in place, letting them roam freely, or having them follow behind you.
Additionally, a new item called the “Hookshot” has been added, allowing players to jump across crevices and holes. In the new “Moss” sub-biome, lush green moss spreads across a region of stone ruins. It is said that “Orexes,” a new species of reptile-like livestock, inhabit this area.
In addition, three new pets, each with unique abilities, as well as new weapons, accessories, and armor, have been introduced, along with various quality-of-life improvements.
Version 1.3 “The Underground Rider” Content
■ Hop on a saddle and GO! Race through the underground world!
The highlight of the “Underground Rider” update is “Mounts”! By equipping the new “Saddle” item to any livestock animal in the game, it becomes a “Mount,” allowing you to ride it and travel.You can rename your “mounts” and specify their behavior—such as staying in place, roaming freely, or following their owner—when you’re not riding them. Hop onto your cute companion and gallop through the world of *Core Keeper*!
■ A New Biome, “Moss,” Where You’ll Encounter New Creatures!
A new sub-biome, “Moss,” is here. Lush green moss spreads throughout the dark, damp areas of stone ruins. This is where the “Orex,” a new reptile-like livestock creature, lives.
■ Leap Over Cracks in a Single Bounce! The New “Hookshot” Item
Use the new “Hookshot” item to zip right across cracks and trenches. You’ll need to find a spot to hook onto, but it’s perfect for exploring far and wide at high speed. It looks cool in action, too!
■From the Sea and Sky to the Underground: 3 New Pets, Plus New Gear and Improvements for Mages & Summoners!
Three new pets with unique abilities are making their debut. “Pyo-Hop,” who comes from the sea, keeps enemies at bay with long-range attacks and can even apply a slippery effect.“Azeos Jr.,” who comes from the sky, has the ability to stun enemies. In addition, numerous new weapons and armor have been added. Some adjustments have also been made to the playstyles of Mages and Summoners.
