Clear River Games has announced *Estpolis Chronicles I & II*, a bundle featuring Taito’s RPGs *Estpolis Chronicles* and *Estpolis Chronicles II*.
Chronologically, “II” Comes First! Two Classic RPG Masterpieces Are Revived for Today
This title ports the first two games in the *Estpolis Chronicles* series—originally released for the Super Famicom—to modern platforms with some updates.
*The Legend of Estpolis* is an RPG released for the Super Famicom in 1993. The story centers on the protagonist—a descendant of a legendary hero—and “Rufia,” a girl burdened by her destiny.Meanwhile, *Estpolis Chronicles II*, released in 1995, is set in the past of the first game. It depicts the adventures of “Maxim”—who would later be remembered as a legendary hero—and his companions.
The newly announced *Estpolis Chronicles I & II* includes both titles with partial remastering. The Steam store page reveals that the game supports eight languages, including Japanese.
Clear River Games, the company behind this announcement, is a Sweden-based game publisher. It specializes in reissuing retro games and distributing physical editions of indie games; it recently announced the re-release of Enix’s classic *Tenchi Sōzō*, which is scheduled for release on January 14.
"Estpolis Chronicles I & II" is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC (Steam), PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
