The latest entry in the *Dragon Quest Monsters* series, starring Pizarro

This title is the latest entry in the *Dragon Quest Monsters* series, originally released for the Nintendo Switch in 2023. It became available on Steam in September 2024.

The story serves as an alternate narrative to *Dragon Quest IV: The Chosen Ones*. Pizarro, who appeared as the arch-enemy in that game, takes center stage here, journeying through the Demon Realm alongside an elf girl named Rosalie.

Monsters encountered in the field can be recruited as allies during battle using the “Scout” command. Recruited monsters can be combined in pairs through the series’ signature “Breeding” system to create even more powerful monsters. There are over 500 different types of monsters. Players will adventure through the Demon Realm, where the monsters that appear and the available routes change depending on the season and weather.

Additionally, the Steam version includes the DLC released for the Switch version—“Mog Dungeon of Memories,” “Master Ebi’s Training Labyrinth,” and “Infinite Box of Time”—from the start.

TheSteamversion of *Dragon Quest Monsters 3: The Demon Prince and the Elf’s Journey* is currently on sale for 996 yen—an 80% discount—through October 2 (Japan Time). For a list of other titles included in the “Square Enix TGS Sale 2026,” please visit the special event page.
