On August 21, 2026, a GRAVITY GAME ARISE demo event was held in Kayabacho, where we got an early chance to try out the titles scheduled to be showcased at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026!

At the venue, in addition to hands-on demos of each title, a wealth of information—including future release plans—was announced. Here’s a look at how the day unfolded!

The venue, REWILD OUTDOOR TOKYO, was located right in the heart of the city, yet it offered a sense of openness that made it feel as if we were at a campsite.

At this hands-on event, held in a venue that let us connect with nature, presentations were given on titles scheduled for future release. In addition to introductions highlighting each game’s features, appeal, and future plans, time was also set aside for attendees to actually try out the games.

In this article, we’ll share our impressions of the titles we played.

Let’s All Read the Room: World (Korea Ver.)

The latest version of the popular series *Let’s All Read the Room* is packed with “typical Korean” scenarios based on Korean culture and customs.

Cultural norms that are taken for granted in daily life vary from country to country. For example, the game features Korea’s “bomb shot,” a drinking custom not commonly seen in Japan.Pouring liquor into a glass and then submerging an entire shot glass into it… Faced with such a unique drinking style, there were moments when I couldn’t help but wonder, “Is this really how it’s done…?” Being able to experience these aspects of Korean culture is one of the unique joys of this game.

When you’re stuck and can’t figure out the answer, “Korean Culture Mode” is there to help. While enjoying the game, you can learn not only what a given situation means in Korea but also its cultural background.

If you’ve watched Korean dramas or movies, there have surely been moments when you wondered, “Is this normal there?” The fun part of this game is that it lets you get a closer feel for that “vague sense of Korean culture” through gameplay. It’s a game that not only helps you read the room but also deepens your understanding of a different culture while you play.

It also features a UGC function called “Ogi,” which lets you freely add speech bubbles to the game screen. Additionally, the lineup of mini-games is robust, including “K (Korea) Tower Battle,” which uses gameplay similar to “Animal Tower Battle” to stack items related to Korea.

At TGS, visitors will be able to try out 20 carefully selected questions firsthand. The game is scheduled for release in 2026 and is planned to be available on smartphones, including iOS and Android.

Light Odyssey

*Light Odyssey* is a Souls-like boss rush game in which the protagonist, Bandi—who holds the last remaining light in the universe—embarks on an adventure to recover the lost light. Set against the vast backdrop of space, players take on a journey to reclaim the light while engaging in intense battles against a diverse array of unique bosses.

By quickly unleashing attacks to build up a gauge and activating “Overdrive,” players can keep moving without consuming stamina. This sequence feels incredibly satisfying, and the game’s appealing tempo—where attacks flow seamlessly into the next action—is a standout feature.

Even as a Souls-like novice, I found the controls simple and intuitive, and I appreciated being able to dive right into battle without having to memorize complicated controls. The exhilaration of quickly stringing together attacks while anticipating enemy moves and landing combo strikes is so compelling that you’ll find yourself wanting to try again and again. The simple controls and fast-paced battles mesh perfectly, creating a game where you can enjoy satisfying combat while still experiencing the unique tension characteristic of Souls-like games.

At this year’s TGS, the new boss, “Altair,” was unveiled. He’s characterized by unique attack patterns that set him apart from previous bosses, making it fun to strategize how to fight him.

Like previous bosses, Altair’s attack patterns change drastically as he shifts forms. Players must identify the distinct attack patterns for each form and adapt their strategy accordingly, making this a boss that truly tests your ability to adapt.

Although the official release has been postponed to 2026 or later, you can try out the game ahead of schedule at TGS. If you’re interested, be sure to stop by the venue and experience the fast-paced battles for yourself!

Alta

We also got to try out the console version of “Alta,” which has been well-received on Steam!

In “Alta,” you explore dungeons alongside the cute, animal-eared protagonist Chaya and her friends while also enjoying a bakery management simulation. It’s a unique title that lets you enjoy not only adventure but also the fun of running your own shop.Furthermore, a boss rush mode is scheduled to be added to this console version. You can try out the PS5 version not only at the Gravity Game Arise booth but also at the KONAMI booth.

Those who try the game will receive an original eco-bag as a giveaway. The release date is scheduled for December 10, 2026. If you’re interested, why not give it a try ahead of the release at the TGS venue?

Galvatein

Another highly anticipated title is *Galvatein: Adventurers’ Guild Office*. In this simulation game, you play as the guild’s receptionist, reviewing adventurers’ loot and licenses while evaluating and assigning quests.

Check the applications submitted by adventurers returning from monster-hunting quests across the land. Rely on the dates listed on each document, encyclopedia entries, and questions for the adventurers to determine whether a quest qualifies for a reward.

Plus, after finishing your guild work, you can cook using the ingredients you’ve gathered. Think about the combinations and create delicious dishes.

“Galbatein: Adventurer’s Guild Office” begins Early Access on September 22. With its cute and eye-catching visuals, this title is a must-see for simulation fans at the event!

JARECO ARCADE COLLECTION Vol. 1, Vol. 2

The collection includes a total of 32 titles, including some previously unannounced ones.

Furthermore, the collection now supports various detailed settings. In response to frequent user requests to “see the pixels more clearly,” the collection now allows you to select your preferred image quality. In addition to the default settings, options include “Dot-by-Dot” for crisp pixel display and “CRT” to recreate the look and feel of vintage CRT televisions.

As a first-print bonus, Vol. 1 comes with a “special sleeve,” and Vol. 2 comes with an “instruction card book.”The special sleeve is designed to hold and display the boxed versions of “JARECO ARCADE COLLECTION Vol. 1” and “Vol. 2.” Furthermore, the instruction card book serves as a gallery book featuring reference materials for the included titles, making it a must-have bonus for fans.

More updates are expected in the future, so let’s look forward to the release!

New *Ragnarok Online* Title

Furthermore, a new *Ragnarok Online* title—making its debut at TGS—was also announced!

Although it’s still in the development stage, it’s slated to be a console title that lets players enjoy the series’ familiar world in 2.5D. We’re eagerly anticipating future updates to see what kind of *Ragnarok Online* experience—with a slightly different twist from previous entries—this will be.

On the day of TGS, exclusive debut footage will be shown for the first time ever. Plus, if you add the game to your Steam wishlist at the venue, you’ll receive a free giveaway item, so if you’re interested, be sure to check it out at the event!

Hashire Hebereke EX

We also got to try out *Hashire Hebereke EX*, which is finally set to release on September 3 for Nintendo Switch and Steam! This title is a remake of *Hashire Hebereke*, originally released by Sunsoft for the Super Famicom in 1994.

It’s a fun, chaotic racing game where you control cute and quirky characters, throwing items and bumping into each other as you race. Since each character has different stats, you can choose the one that suits you best and engage in intense races.

In addition to the “Tutorial” and “Story” modes, where you can play solo and learn the controls, this game also features “Engacho” mode—an asymmetrical PvP mode where you run around trying to escape a player carrying a pile of poop on their head! With local multiplayer support, it’s sure to be a chaotic and fun experience!

Plus, there’s even a mode where you can play the original Super Famicom version of “Hashire Hebereke” before the remake! While the 3D characters in the remake are cute, we also recommend giving the classic pixel art a try for a trip down memory lane.

At this preview event, we were treated to a wealth of information—from highly anticipated upcoming titles to brand-new games making their debut at TGS. Since you’ll be able to try out numerous titles on the day of TGS itself, whether you’ve got your eye on a specific game or are just looking to discover something new at the venue, be sure to stop by the Gravity Game Arise booth!
