Plebeian Studio has released Version 1.0, the official release of the physics-based combat game *Gladio Mori*, which had been in Early Access since November 2024.
One-Hit Kill
In this game, battles are fought with melee weapons, but there is no health bar; bleeding from severed arteries or lost limbs can be fatal. Losing an arm makes combat extremely difficult, and a well-placed strike to a vital point can end the fight in a single blow.Weapons, armor, and the characters’ bodies are modeled using physics simulations; plate armor, for example, blocks slashing attacks. Therefore, the key to victory isn’t simply increasing the number of attacks, but rather finding openings in your opponent’s defense to strike.

Unique Combat Styles
Players can also create their own move sets. Using the in-game move editor, they can directly manipulate the fighter’s body to create attack animations from scratch and use them in actual matches. For players who find creating their own moves too tedious, or for those playing the console version, it’s reportedly possible to select individual moves from a gallery of community-created move sets to craft a unique fighting style.
