Paul Tassi, who writes entertainment-related articles for the U.S. media outlet Forbes, has published the response he received from Xbox regarding the Game Pass restructuring.
Xbox explicitly stated that there are no changes or finalized plans. Will previously announced Day One titles be supported as scheduled?
The inquiry was made in light of rumors circulating about Game Pass, such as the discontinuation of Day One titles and price cuts, and a spokesperson reportedly provided a response. While acknowledging that they regularly test their offerings to determine the best service for players in each market, the spokesperson clarified that “there are no changes to announce today, nor are there any finalized plans,” making it clear that no imminent changes were in the works at the time of the response.
They also explicitly stated that there are no changes to previously announced Day One titles. However, in replies to Mr. Tassi’s post, some comments expressed deeper concerns about whether new titles would be added in the future, noting that the spokesperson’s response seemed to deliberately avoid addressing this point. It should be noted that “Fable,” scheduled for release in February 2027, and “Clockwork Revolution,” slated for release sometime in 2027, have already been announced as Day One titles.
