One More Level, the developer behind the “Ghostrunner” series, has announced the price of “Valor Mortis,” a single-player action RPG it is co-publishing with Lyrical Games.

It has been revealed that the price for this first-person “Souls-like” action game—scheduled for release on October 13 (international time)—has been set at $39.99 (which, based on recent trends in Steam’s recommended prices adopted by the publisher, is likely to be around 5,000 yen).
Priced Lower Than Expected
The reasons cited for setting this price include the team’s confidence that the game—from its quality and graphical detail to its approximately 20-hour story campaign—is on par with “full-price” titles, while also acknowledging that the fall release window features heavy competition and that players’ time and money are limited.
