GamesRadarreported that Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick made remarks at the September 17 shareholders’ meeting that hinted at a PC version of “Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6).”
The release of a PC version of “GTA 6” is expected to be just a matter of time
In response to a shareholder’s question asking, “Is the shortage of PS5 Pro consoles affecting the release timing of the PC version?” Zelnick prefaced his answer by saying, “I understand this to be a question about when we will release the PC version of ‘GTA 6,’” and replied, “It is our strategy to eventually release the game on any platform that has a significant user base.”He further noted, “The PC platform is becoming increasingly important to us.”

It has become customary for Rockstar games, such as *GTA 5* and *Red Dead Redemption 2*, to have their PC versions released later, and as of now, there is no official information confirming a PC version of *GTA 6*.
Based on figures from the unofficial database SteamDB, GamesRadar estimates that the Steam version of the previous title, *GTA 5*, sold between 50 million and 90 million copies across both editions.Citing the fact that “GTA V Enhanced” still consistently ranks in the top 20 for daily active users on Steam, the article notes, “While Mr. Zelnick did not explicitly confirm a PC release for ‘GTA VI,’ given the current growth of the PC gaming market, they certainly won’t let this opportunity slip by,” suggesting that the release of a PC version of *GTA 6* is only a matter of time.

The international tech media outlet Digital Foundry analyzed the “Extended Look” video for *GTA 6*, released on August 28, noting that if the goal had been 60 fps, “it’s unclear whether it could have been achieved.”With *GTA 5*, the PS4 and Xbox One versions—which featured various enhancements—were released later, followed by the PC version.
If a PC version of *GTA 6* were to be released, it would certainly require a high-spec PC, but players might be able to enjoy a version that balances 60 fps with high-quality graphics. Given the current surge in hardware prices across the board, it seems likely that users who do not own a game console are hoping for a PC release.
However, while these comments raise expectations for a PC version, it’s important to note that this remains purely speculative.
*Grand Theft Auto VI* is scheduled for release on November 19 forPS5/XBOX Series X|S.
