Pawprint Studio announced onPS Blogthat it will release the PS5 version of “Aniimo” on September 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
A free-to-play open-world RPG where you travel while “linking” with your partner Aniimo
This free-to-play open-world monster-collecting RPG lets players travel through a vast world while collecting and raising mysterious creatures called “Aniimo.” Its standout feature is the ability to not only carry captured Aniimo with you but also to “link” with them, borrowing their form and abilities to perform everything from field actions—such as moving on water or flying—to battling.
Aniimos branch into different forms depending on their habitat, weather conditions, and how they’re raised. The game also features daily life at your “Home”—your adventure base—as well as interactions with other players. PS StoreUntil 10:59 AM on September 16—just before the official launch—the “Advance Edition Pre-order Exclusive Pack” (1,500 yen) and the “Collection Edition Pre-order Exclusive Pack” (3,000 yen) will be on sale.Both packs include the in-game accessory “Fluffy Mouse Buddy” and the in-game pass “Travel Companion Notebook.”
These items are reportedly “available exclusively through pre-orders of the PlayStation version.” Note that the main game included in the packs will be free-to-play after the official launch, so the pre-order is essentially for the bonus items.
The PS5 version of *Aniimo* is scheduled for release on September 16. Versions for PC (Steam/ Epic Games Store),XBOX Series X|S,iOS, andAndroidhave also been announced and are expected to launch at the same time. Pre-registration is currently open on the official website.
