Game Source Entertainment has officially announced *Noroi Ayashi*, a brand-new horror RPG created by manga artist Renji Oshikiri and producer Sohei Shinkawa, and has launched its Steam store page.
A School Horror Game Featuring Curses and the “Seven Mysteries,” Created by Renji Oshikiri and Sohei Shinkawa
This exploration-based horror RPG challenges players to solve mysteries while exploring a school late at night and uncovering the truth behind urban legends.Rensuke Oshikiri is a manga artist known for works such as *High Score Girl* and *Sayuri*. Sohei Shinkawa is the former president of Nippon Ichi Software and currently works as a producer and novelist (under the pen name Roman Kitayama), having worked on titles such as *Etranger Overlord*.
The story is set at “U High,” a school where, in addition to the seven mysteries passed down through the ages, an urban legend is whispered among students: “If you perform a certain ritual, [Aya, the Cursed Doll] will appear and curse your hated enemy to death.”Seira, the protagonist investigating the truth behind a friend’s mysterious death, sneaks into the school building at night with Tae and Hime—members of the newspaper club—to attempt the forbidden ritual. However, far from providing a clue to the truth, this was merely the beginning of a nightmare from which they could not escape.
Players control Seira as she explores the school, shrouded in darkness. Each of the Seven Mysteries lurking within the school has its own unique method of avoidance and sealing procedure, and players must crawl through the shadows to gather clues that will help them survive.
Surviving on the first playthrough is considered virtually impossible in this game; you’ll need to learn from your repeated deaths and develop an efficient strategy. Armed with the knowledge you’ve gained, your goal is to forge a path along the shortest route and break the seemingly endless chain of death.
The title and genre had been hinted at
In fact, the title *Noroi Ayashi* had already been revealed by Mr. Shinkawa.In February 2026, Mr. Shinkawa reported on his X account under the pseudonym Roman Kitayama that he had begun work on a new scenario, listing this title as an unannounced project following *Etranger Overlord* and *Demon’s Night Fever*.
Furthermore, in an interview with Sohei Shinkawa published by Game*Spark in March 2026, Shinkawa revealed “only the genre names” of the four titles he was developing at the time toward the end of the interview.One of those titles, described as a “time-loop horror RTA stealth action adventure”—which is also considered a horror RPG—matches the genre name listed in the product information for *Noroi Ayashi* that was recently released.
It seems that this title, whose name and genre had been hinted at in advance, has finally been officially unveiled.

*Noroi Ayashi* is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch 2. The price has not yet been determined.
