The official “WARDOGS” X account announced that cumulative sales of the game have surpassed 2 million copies.
“We made this game because we wanted to play with our friends.”
Released in Early Access on September 11, this military sandbox shooter features battles on vast battlefields where up to 100 players are divided into three teams. Players aim for victory by accumulating team points through controlling areas known as “Control Zones.”
News broke on September 12 that the game had surpassed 1.5 million copies sold, but within a few days, sales continued to rise, finally reaching the 2 million mark. The development team wrote, “Thank you all so much.We are filled with gratitude. We created a game that we ourselves would want to play with our friends. It’s truly amazing to see everyone enjoying it with their friends.”

In addition, another post revealed the statistics recorded over the weekend of the game’s first week. According to that post, total cash earned by all users reached approximately 1.3 trillion dollars, with a total of 123 million kills on the battlefield—33 million of which were headshot kills.
Immediately after launch, there were some issues—such as long wait times to log in—and the game’s rating on Steam was listed as “Mixed” (as reported in an article shortly after release). However, it is now rated “Very Positive” (based on all reviews across all languages), confirming that many users are enjoying the game.
*WARDOGS* is currently available in Early Access for Windows (Steam). It is scheduled for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2028.
