On October 28, 2026, 81monkeys launched the Steam store page for *WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones*, a 2D graphic RPG developed by the group under license from the hamburger chain “Wendy’s.”
This RPG features the red-haired girl from “Wendy’s” as the protagonist. Enemies include “Mech Chicken” and “Mech Fries.”

“Wendy’s” is a fast-food chain—which operates in certain regions of Japan—whose mascot is a red-haired girl with braids. The newly announced game is a 2D pixel-art-style RPG featuring this mascot as the protagonist. In the screenshots, you can see the mascot girl “Wendy” (Wendy-chan) clad in armor and wielding a sword.

Of course, Wendy’s restaurants appear in the game, and it seems that hamburgers, fries, and drinks can be used as recovery items.

The game’s world, “Savoria,” is on the brink of crisis thanks to the evil scientist “Mechborg” and his mechanized minions, who have scattered watery french fries and frozen beef throughout the land. The only one who can save this world is Wendy, who wields a sacred spatula and handles fresh beef.

Working together with allies like the French Fry Archer, Spicy Chicken, and Frosty Mage, Wendy takes on the Mech Army—including “Mech Fries” and “Mech Chicken.”I can’t help but feel that the “Mech” emblem, the naming conventions, and various other details seem to hint at something, but I suppose if you start thinking about it too much, you’ve already lost.
Incidentally, the store page emphasizes that this game is 100% fresh and 100% made by humans.

The system requirements listed on the Steam store page also showcase a unique sense of humor, with entries like “Processor: Potato” and “Sound Card: Salt.” It’s likely a low-resource game that will run smoothly even on a standard PC (low-spec PCs are sometimes called “Potato PCs”).
This isn’t the first time Wendy’s has ventured into the gaming industry; in 2019, the company also released its own tabletop RPG, “Feast of Legends.”
Another example of a company creating and distributing its own PC RPG is Don Quijote, which developed and released the RPG “Donkin Quest” using RPG Maker 2003 (Internet Archive).
“WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones,” developed by 81monkeys—the same studio behind “World of Anterra”—is scheduled for release on PC (Steam). The price and release date are unknown, and the game does not support Japanese.
