Valve is scheduled to launch the Steam Autumn Sale on October 2 at 2:00 a.m. Japan Standard Time. The sale is expected to run from October 2 at 2:00 a.m. to October 9 at 2:00 a.m., and the unofficial database siteSteamDBis currently counting down to the start of the sale.
Square Enix and Atlus Are Already on Sale. Even Though the End Date on the Store Is Listed as “October 2”…
Without waiting for the Autumn Sale to begin, Square Enix and Atlus are already holding sales on Steam. While the store pages for eligible titles indicate that the sale will end around 2:00 a.m. on October 2, official announcements from both companies state that the sales will continue beyond that date.
Square Enix’s “Square Enix AUTUMN SALE” explicitly states that the Steam version of the sale will run “until around 2:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026.”There is also a note stating, “Due to Steam store specifications, the displayed sale end date and time may differ from the actual date and time, but the sale prices will remain in effect until the period mentioned above.” Regardless of what is shown on the store page, the discounted prices for eligible titles will continue until the end of the Autumn Sale.

Atlus also announced on its official sale information page that the sale period for its Steam titles will run “until 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026.” Sales are already underway, such as *Persona 3 Reload* being 70% off at 2,303 yen.

There’s no need to rush into a purchase just because the “time remaining” countdown on the store page is getting low. However, since both companies note that “duration and other details may vary by title,” please check each store page to confirm that the sale price is still in effect before making a purchase.
The Autumn Sale is one of Steam’s “seasonal sales,” held four times a year. It’s customary for a large number of games—other than the latest releases—to go on sale during these major events, and if you miss this one, the next seasonal sale won’t be until December 18.
