"Grand Theft Auto VI" is finally set to launch on November 19, 2026. Reports indicate that the game will require approximately 210 GB of storage space, and the fact that the download could take nearly two days—depending on internet speed—has become a hot topic.
Could it take nearly two days on a slow connection!? Make use of pre-loading
The unofficial fan account “GTA 6 Unlimited” has provided the following estimated download times for “GTA 6” based on internet speed:
10 Mbps: 46 hours 40 minutes
25 Mbps: 18 hours 40 minutes
50 Mbps: 9 hours 20 minutes
100 Mbps: 4 hours 40 minutes
200 Mbps: 2 hours 20 minutes
300 Mbps: 1 hour 33 minutes
500 Mbps: 56 minutes
1 Gbps: 28 minutes
While 10 Mbps is generally considered sufficient for business tasks and web browsing that don’t involve online calls or video chats, it would take nearly two days to download “GTA 6” at that speed.
You can check the speed of your current internet connection using tools like fast.com, provided by Netflix.

According to the official Rockstar Store page, pre-loading will begin on November 12—one week before the release date—so if you have a slow internet connection or experience slow speeds on a Wi-Fi network, it’s a good idea to purchase the game early and start pre-loading it.
Please note that the PS5 physical edition will also be sold as a “code-in-box” version, meaning the game itself is a digital download.
"Grand Theft Auto VI" is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and XBOX Series X|S. The PS5 physical edition will ship on November 12, and the download will also begin on that same day (the game will be playable starting November 19).
