On October 28, Mojang and Microsoft Japan released the Nintendo Switch 2 version of *Minecraft*.
Enhanced graphics! Reports indicate it runs at 120 fps
This title is the world’s best-selling sandbox game—a fact that needs no introduction. This Nintendo Switch 2 version supports the “Vibrant Visuals” feature, which enhances the visuals.
While “Vibrant Visuals” is a feature available on other platforms, it was not supported in the original Switch version. This feature enhances clouds, water reflections, and shadows cast by the sun. According to the official announcement, the Switch 2 version allows players to use “Vibrant Visuals” with all content on the “Minecraft Marketplace.”
Reports from international users indicate that limiting the render distance without using Vibrant Visuals allows the game to run at 120 fps. This marks the first time a console version of the Bedrock Edition has achieved 120 fps.
There are also reports that the game runs at 120 fps in both Handheld and TV modes, with a native resolution of 1440p in TV mode and 1080p in Handheld mode.

Additionally, the “Super Mario Mashup Pack,” exclusive to Nintendo platforms, supports Vibrant Visuals. It includes 15 songs inspired by the “Super Mario” series and 40 player skins.
