Independent developer ipip is currently developing a horror game titled *Humans Are Tunnels*, which is based on the theme of model train building.

Ethics Go Off the Rails

This simulation game lets you build and paint model trains and miniature houses to create your own unique diorama. With rough graphics reminiscent of the original PlayStation era, you’ll construct a small world where trains run.

Once you’ve taken a photo of your completed diorama, you can sell it to collectors. With the proceeds, you can purchase new models, creating a gameplay loop where you expand your world by repeatedly building and photographing your creations.

…So far, it sounds like a peaceful model-building experience, but the released footage reveals a bizarre scene in which living humans are incorporated as “tunnels.” You can see tracks running through the mouth of a trembling human as a model train passes through.

Additionally, the developer commented on the international forum Reddit that, in addition to selling photos and purchasing models, players must “keep the tunnels alive.” While the specific method hasn’t been revealed, the trailer also showed a scene where a heart rate monitor was used to check a person’s pulse.

*Humans Are Tunnels* is currently in development, with a target release date in late November. As of this writing, the distribution platform has not been announced.

Meanwhile, *Idle Primes*, an incremental horror game by ipip, is scheduled for release on PC (Steam). According to an X post by ipip on October 24, the game is currently awaiting approval from Steam and is scheduled for release in the near future.
