On October 27, 2026, The Fun Pimps released the stable version of the 3.4.0 update for the open-world zombie survival game *7 Days to Die*.
The search feature makes finding items easier. Enjoy the larger backpack
The major change is the addition of a search bar and filters to backpacks and containers.
By entering an item’s name or narrowing down results by category, you can quickly find the item you’re looking for. The V3.3.0 stable update introduced a system that allows players to expand their backpacks to a maximum of 96 slots, making this a welcome feature for players who found it increasingly difficult to locate items as their inventory grew.
Additionally, if your drone gets stuck or goes missing, you can now ask a trader to retrieve it.
Other notable changes are as follows:
The completion effects for the "Night Stalker" Park Book (Vol. 4), "Steroids," "Chicken Nuggets," and the "Firefighter Yearbook" Park Book have been updated to match the new backpack capacity specifications.
Fixed an issue in multiplayer where the “Boost” icon appeared on items that were not actually boosted.
Fixed an issue where the 10th item in the hotbar could not be sold.
Fixed an issue where the macOS version would not launch with Easy Anti-Cheat enabled.
Fixed an error that occurred when turning in the “White River” quest.
Fixed an issue where a vehicle’s inventory could be scrolled through without taking installed storage mods into account.
Fixed an issue where moving items to dropped zombie bags or airdrops using Shift + left-click would cause an error; this now works correctly.
Fixed an issue where deployed drones would circle around the player.
Fixed a rare issue where players could not log in via Discord account linking.
Fixed a crash in shared quests started before V3.4.0. A workaround is also provided.
Meanwhile, new known issues have been disclosed alongside the release of the stable version.
Of particular concern is an issue where the game crashes if you join multiplayer while still carrying a shared quest started before V3.4.0. The development team is currently investigating this and will provide an update as soon as details become available.
As a workaround until the issue is fixed, players are advised to go to “Options” → “General” → “General” before joining a game and turn off either “Automatically form a party with alliance members” or “Auto Quest Sharing,” or both.
After doing so, join a multiplayer game and delete any ongoing shareable quests accepted before version 3.4.0 from your log. Please note that quests awaiting reporting do not cause this issue, so players are advised not to delete them.
Once all party members have finished deleting the relevant quests, you can safely restore the options to their original settings.
In addition, the following issues have been confirmed:
Closing the inventory resets locked slots (a fix is currently being verified and will be released as soon as it is approved)
In new games only, an error may occur when generating chunk decorations
The Level 5 “Euthanasia” effect of the “Physician” special skill (which has a 10% chance to cause instant death when attacking with a stun baton) does not function even when triggered
The number of items to be sold may not be displayed correctly
Items cannot be consumed directly from a campfire (they can be used once moved to the backpack)
On the Mac version, if the client language is set to French, you cannot join P2P or the server
On macOS, changing the language settings causes the game to freeze, requiring a forced quit

"7 Days to Die" is available for PC (Steam/Microsoft Store), PS5, and XBOX Series X|S. On Steam, it is available at a 45% discount—2,695 yen instead of the usual 4,900 yen—through November 3, 2026 (a sale is also currently underway on the Microsoft Store, where the game is available for 2,887 yen).
