On October 27, Capcom announced that it would gradually discontinue sales of the PS4 and Steam versions of the fighting game *Street Fighter V* on the PlayStation Store and Steam.
The move is due to PHP security enhancements; online features will also be unavailable
According to an announcement on the official X account, this measure is due to security enhancements for the programming language “PHP” used in the PS4 and Steam versions of *Street Fighter V*.
Currently, content that requires online functionality is unavailable, and temporary maintenance is being conducted to address the issue. However, content that can be played offline remains available.

Additionally, the company states that it will gradually suspend sales of the game on the PlayStation Store and Steam until the fixes are completed. No specific timeline has been disclosed at this time regarding the restoration of online features or the resumption of sales.
It should be noted that on October 21, two critical vulnerabilities in PHP, known as “PHP2Shell,” were disclosed, and security measures are being implemented across various web services both domestically and internationally. However, Capcom has not explained whether there is a direct link between these measures and those vulnerabilities.
