Mojang Studios has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of *Minecraft* will be released on October 27, 2026 (local time).
The game will support "Vibrant Visuals" for enhanced graphics, and an upgrade pass will also be available for purchase.
This title is the world’s best-selling sandbox game—a game that needs no introduction. This Nintendo Switch 2 version supports the “Vibrant Visuals” feature, which enhances graphics.
While “Vibrant Visuals” is a feature available on other platforms, it was not supported in the original Switch version. This feature enhances elements such as clouds, water reflections, and shadows cast by the sun. According to the official announcement, the Switch 2 version will allow players to use “Vibrant Visuals” with all content available on the “Minecraft Marketplace.”
Additionally, the “Super Mario Mash-Up” pack—exclusive to Nintendo platforms—will also support Vibrant Visuals.

The Switch 2 version of *Minecraft* is scheduled for release on October 27 (local time). An upgrade pass will also be available for owners of the Switch version. Details will be announced at a later date.
